Gift boxes are the most common cigar packaging boxes and usually contain 25 cigars. Gift boxes are also called standard boxes, circulation boxes, label boxes or semi-flat packaging. The boxes are made of cedar-veneered plywood, paper dressings, and have hinged lids that are fastened with nail buckles or brooch clasps. The emission stratification of cigars in a box is usually fixed. 25 cigars are usually 2 layers (12 bottom layers, 13 top layers), 20 cigars are usually 2 layers (10 bottom layers, 10 top layers), and 10 cigars are usually single layer. If a single cigar comes with a tube, a box of 25 cigars is usually divided into 3 layers.
2. Slide Lid Boxes
This is an unpainted wooden box that usually contains 25 or 50 round cigars, bundled and tied together with ribbons. Around 1997, the wood changed from solid cedar to cedar veneer plywood.
3. Varnished SlideLid Boxes
The slider box as mentioned above is the same except that all sides except the base are varnished. Painting is one of the hallmarks of high-end goods.
4. Semi Boite NatureBoxes
The box has a flat hinged lid (without a seal) that is secured with a staple or brooch clasp. It is on the same level as the sliding lid box mentioned above. Around 1997, the wood changed from solid cedar to cedar veneer plywood. Semi-clamshell wooden box packaging is relative to clamshell wooden box packaging. Half-clamshell wooden boxes usually hold 10 cigars in a single layer. The clamshell wooden box is usually double-layered and holds 24 or 25 pieces. There are also larger ones that will hold 50 sticks.

Painted clamshell wooden box: As mentioned before, painting is one of the high-end manifestations. All sides are varnished except the underside. For example, Trinidad comes in 12- and 24-piece packages. The 24-piece package is divided into 6 layers and equipped with ribbons for easy movement of cigars.
6. Boite Nature
Pure wooden box packaging, this type of wooden box usually has better sealing performance, and the packaging level is more high-end than semi-clamshell boxes and sliding lid boxes.

8. Black Lacquered Boite Nature
The black piano lacquered clamshell wooden box is a symbol of high-end cigars. For example, Cohiba's Beiko series has this black lacquered box. The black lacquered box has high specifications and is expensive. But there is no shortage of buyers for luxury goods in this world, and cigars in black lacquer boxes are often hard to come by.
9. Varnished 898 Boxes
A lacquered cedar box with curved long sides that usually contains 25 round cigars divided into 3 tiers. They feature metal hinges and a brooch clasp. The 25 cigars are divided into three layers, namely 8 cigars, 9 cigars and 8 cigars; the smaller box of 10 cigars is also in 3 layers, respectively a box of 3 cigars and a box of 4 cigars.

11. Cardboard Boxes
A "soft wrap" cardboard box printed to look like a gift box, with the cigars inside usually being cellophane-wrapped or foil-wrapped cigars.
12. Rigid CardboardBoxes
A hard cardboard box, printed to look like a gift box, with cigars placed in layers inside. There are paper hinges, but no buttons. At present, this kind of rigid cardboard with the soft carton on it is generally used for machine cigars.
13. Cardboard Packs
Small "soft" cardboard, flat, pocket-sized box with slide or flip lid. Cigars are often wrapped in cellophane and usually contain three or five cigars. Usually ten boxes of cardboard packages are combined into a large box and sold in large boxes. This type of packaging is currently used for premium cigars in small packages, but is also suitable for non-premium cigars, which are favored because of their low price.
14. Ceramic Jars
Ceramic jars were first produced in the 1920s and were common in the 1950s and 1960s, but were phased out in the 1980s. It was relaunched in 1996. The ceramic jar has a push lid. They usually contain 25 cigars and occasionally 50 cigars.
15. Glass Jar
Introduced in the 1810s, glass jars were common in the 1950s/60s but were phased out in the mid-1970s. They were relaunched in 2009. Jars are clear glass with clip-on lids. Around 1970, the lid went from three clips to two clips.
Metal cans are round or square with push-fit lids, and regular or cellophane cigars stand upright or flat. This type of packaging was discontinued in the mid-1960s, but in 2013 Wiculo reintroduced it in a new metal can.
17. Metal Packs
A flat, pocket-sized box, usually hinged, containing 5 cigars.
